Mui Kee Porridge with Wok Hei

Mui kee ah Mui kee, 我爱你.... I am delighted to meet you again after our brief encounter in Hong Kong. If you have not tried 妹記 in Hong Kong , then it is your chance now for they have a pop up in Sg ( till end Dec ) .

Under the Les Amis group, Mui Kee share the same space with Casa Verde

Check out the menu

Each bowl of porridge is served with you tiao and century egg. It was sure worth all my efforts in waking up early n making my way to Botanic gardens for this .

Having tried both Sg and Hk's version , the porridge texture certainly seems similar..very smooth and been cooked for few hours . Both bowls here are the Premium ones - fish belly n combination ( scallop and beef slices ) .

Fish belly bowl- fresh and good. So much flavour to it.
The amazing wok hei was evidently present in the Fish belly bowl and it caught us by surprise .
Be careful of fish bones ! Go early for your morning walk and then have a bowl of porridge :)

I love the slice beef bowl as well. Very generous serving,
good to the last spoon !

We had a serving of the drunken chicken as well
but pity the chicken wasn't that drunk .

It is a nice experience overall given that there
is no where else one could enjoy porridge with so much
wok hei.. and I love the cool morning stroll in the gardens

Gather some friends or family and enjoy a bonding
morning at the gardens !
